The Old Bureaucratic Maze

  • ✗ 8 to 16 hours of classroom lectures, often $150 to $250
  • ✗ Taking a weekday off to stand in line at the sheriff's office
  • ✗ ~$40 in fingerprint cards and passport photos
  • ✗ Waiting months with few updates

The Concierge Path

New Hampshire law (RSA 159:6) allows non-residents to apply for a license by mail. The concierge portal takes your information, checks it for common clerical mistakes, guides your character references, and produces a complete, ready-to-mail packet in about 15 minutes.

"You don't hire TurboTax because taxes are illegal; you hire TurboTax because a single clerical error can cost you months of headaches."

Step 4 of 4: Application Packet Ready for Submission

"I thought this was one of those internet gimmicks. But I checked New Hampshire law myself. The concierge portal had my entire packet ready to sign in 14 minutes."

Mark R., Texas

"I work 60 hours a week in construction. I couldn't sacrifice an entire Saturday for an overpriced slide deck. This solved it."

Greg T., Florida

"We spend 5 months a year in our camper. Knowing our paperwork was done right without navigating 15 county offices was worth it."

Brian & Sarah K., Ohio

Individual experiences vary. Approval is decided solely by the state.

Frequently asked questions

Is this legal? Can another state really issue a permit recognized elsewhere?

Yes. Several states, including New Hampshire, issue non-resident licenses, and many states recognize out-of-state permits through reciprocity agreements or their own recognition laws. There is no single federal reciprocity law, so where your permit is honored depends on each state's current rules. Local regulations vary, and they can change.

Why can't I just do this myself directly with the state?

You can! Form DSSP 260 is publicly available and you're free to complete it yourself. Common DIY problems include missing references, incorrect notary formats and wrong payment routing. Rush Permit is a concierge service that handles the preparation and review to help you avoid those errors.

Does this cover the state government fee?

No. The state licensing fee (currently $100 for New Hampshire non-residents) is paid directly to the state issuing authority when you mail your finished packet. The concierge fee covers paperwork preparation only.

Do I have to take a shooting test or get fingerprinted?

Under current New Hampshire non-resident guidelines, neither range qualification nor fingerprinting is required for out-of-state applicants. Requirements can change, and the state makes the final decision on every application.
